Two boys injured after elderly driver hits them at Offenbach crosswalk

A traffic accident involving two young boys took place on Thursday afternoon in Offenbach. The incident occurred near the 40s block of Berliner Straße at around 2 p.m. An 83-year-old driver collided with the children while they were crossing the road. The two boys, aged 10 and 12, suffered minor injuries in the collision. They were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for further medical attention. The driver of the Mercedes, an 83-year-old man, remained unharmed. Early reports indicate the children were crossing at a pedestrian traffic light when the accident happened. Investigators believe they may have entered the road while the signal was red. The boys received treatment for their injuries after the incident. Police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision. The driver was not injured and is cooperating with authorities.
