Two 14-Year-Olds Charged After Failed Scooter Theft in Quiet Neighborhood

Two 14-year-olds now face criminal charges after an attempted scooter theft in a quiet neighbourhood. The incident unfolded near An der Lache on Thursday evening, leading to one suspect’s immediate arrest. Police have since identified a second teen involved in the crime.

The scooter’s owner spotted two young men interfering with the vehicle just before 9:40 p.m. on November 27. Quick to react, the owner restrained one of the suspects until officers arrived at the scene. Authorities took the detained 14-year-old into provisional custody that same evening.

Both 14-year-olds now face legal proceedings in connection with the attempted theft. The case will proceed through the juvenile justice system. Authorities continue to search for the second suspect, who has not yet been apprehended.
