Trucordia acquires Houston’s First Texas Agency to expand car insurance reach

Trucordia, a leading U.S. insurance brokerage, has expanded its operations by acquiring First Texas Agency in Houston. The deal strengthens the company’s foothold in Texas while adding a client-focused business to its growing network. First Texas Agency specialises in personal and commercial car insurance, offering tailored car insurance quotes to individuals and businesses alike.

First Texas Agency has built a reputation for its personalised approach to car insurance. The firm works closely with clients, educating them and matching coverage to their specific needs. This method aligns with Trucordia’s own commitment to integrity and client service.

Trucordia, headquartered in Lindon, Utah, now employs over 5,000 people across the U.S. The company has been actively expanding through acquisitions, including Florida Insurance in Dunedin, Florida. CEO Felix Morgan emphasised that First Texas Agency’s team would play a key role in supporting the company’s growth plans. Helfer & Associates acted as the exclusive advisor to First Texas Agency during the transaction. Trucordia’s strategy focuses on partnering with businesses that share its values of innovation, community engagement, and ethical practice. The acquisition further extends its ability to deliver customised car insurance solutions in the Texas market.

The deal reinforces Trucordia’s position as a top 20 U.S. insurance brokerage. With First Texas Agency now part of its network, the company aims to broaden its service offerings in the region. The move also reflects Trucordia’s ongoing efforts to build a nationwide organisation focused on client, team, and partner opportunities.
