Tram stop moves for three weeks due to city centre construction

A key tram stop in the city centre will move for nearly three weeks. From November 24 to around December 13, the 'John-F.-Kennedy-Straße' stop will close for construction. Passengers are being warned to adjust their travel plans in advance.

The temporary stop will sit roughly 100 metres away on Abraham Lincoln Straße. During this period, trams will no longer serve the usual location in the city centre. Instead, travellers can board or alight at the 'John-F.-Kennedy-Str.' replacement stop on Abraham Lincoln Straße, which lines 5, 28, and N2 will use.

An alternative option is the 'Raiffeisenplatz' stop, served by line 45. Transport officials have advised passengers to factor in extra time for their journeys. The change is expected to last until mid-December, depending on how the construction progresses.

The relocation affects multiple tram routes and may cause delays for regular commuters. Those travelling through the area should check schedules and plan for possible disruptions. The original stop will reopen once the work is complete.
