Thieves steal copper boiler in overnight Schrecksbach heist
A copper boiler was stolen from a property in Schrecksbach-Röllshausen overnight. The theft happened between 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, and 8:00 a.m. the following morning. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any details about the incident.
The boiler was taken from a property on Ziegenhainer Straße. It had been secured in a metal frame, fixed to the ground with screws. Despite this, the thieves forcibly removed the entire structure from its mountings.
During the theft, the contents of the boiler were emptied onto the victim’s land. The perpetrators then fled with both the copper boiler and its metal frame. The estimated cost of the damage caused is around €500.
Authorities have not yet identified any suspects. The Schwalmstadt police station is urging anyone with information to contact them immediately.
