Thieves steal a Mercedes Sprinter’s onboard computer in Hanau over Christmas

A white Mercedes Sprinter was targeted by thieves in Hanau over the Christmas period. The vehicle’s onboard computer was stolen after criminals broke in through a side window. Police are now asking for help from the public to track down those responsible.

The incident took place on Lamboystraße, close to the block numbers in the 60s. The van was left parked there between 12:00 PM on December 26, 2025, and 2:45 AM the following day. During that time, thieves forced entry by removing a side window before taking the onboard computer.

No suspects have been identified so far. Authorities have urged anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area to come forward. Witnesses or those with information can contact the police hotline at +49 6181 100-123.

The stolen onboard computer remains missing, and the investigation is ongoing. Police continue to gather details in hopes of locating those involved. Anyone with relevant information is encouraged to reach out immediately.
