Thieves smash into Honda CR-V and steal handbag in broad daylight
A 20-year-old woman's Honda CRV was broken into on Friday afternoon, January 9, 2026. Thieves smashed a side window and stole a handbag left on the passenger seat. The incident occurred in a car park near an equestrian centre on Auf der Mittagsweide street in Gräfelfing. The theft happened between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The woman's handbag, along with its contents, was taken, with the stolen items valued at around €400. The car also suffered approximately €500 in damage from the broken window. Police are investigating two unknown individuals seen near the vehicle at the time. One is described as a man, roughly 35 years old, with a full beard and a southern appearance. The other is a woman, about 45 years old, 165 cm tall, slim, and of Eastern European appearance. The police have reminded the public to avoid leaving valuables visible inside cars, even for brief periods.
