Thieves smash into Honda CR-V and steal handbag in broad daylight
A 20-year-old woman's Honda CRV was broken into on Friday afternoon, January 9, 2026. Thieves smashed a side window and stole a handbag left on the passenger seat. The incident occurred in a car park near an equestrian centre on Auf der Mittagsweide street in Gräfelfing. The theft happened between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The woman's handbag, along with its contents, was taken, with the stolen items valued at around €400. The car also suffered approximately €500 in damage from the broken window. Police are investigating two unknown individuals seen near the vehicle at the time. One is described as a man, roughly 35 years old, with a full beard and a southern appearance. The other is a woman, about 45 years old, 165 cm tall, slim, and of Eastern European appearance. The police have reminded the public to avoid leaving valuables visible inside cars, even for brief periods. The investigation into the theft remains ongoing, with witnesses encouraged to come forward.
