Thieves smash car window and steal belongings at popular hiking spot

A car break-in occurred at the 'Bettelsmannbuche' hiking car park near Ober-Nauses on Monday, December 22. Thieves smashed a window and stole personal items between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Police are now seeking witnesses to the incident.

The targeted vehicle was a black Škoda parked at the popular hiking spot. The passenger-side window was shattered, allowing the thieves to take a handbag and wallet from inside. The owner later reported the damage, estimated at around €400.

Authorities in Höchst have urged anyone with information to come forward. Witnesses are asked to contact the local police station on 06163/941-0. No further details about the stolen items or suspects have been released.

The break-in left the car owner with a damaged vehicle and missing belongings. Police continue their investigation, relying on public assistance for leads. Anyone who saw suspicious activity near the car park is encouraged to reach out.
