Thieves ransack Ober-Roden gas station in early-morning heist

A gas station in Ober-Roden was targeted by thieves in the early hours of Tuesday. The break-in lasted just minutes but caused around €2,500 in damage. Three suspects made off with cigarette packs and e-cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

The incident took place at a filling station on Albert Einstein Straße. The perpetrators smashed the glass front doors and forced their way into the sales area. They grabbed tobacco products and e-cigarettes before escaping in a white Volkswagen Golf, believed to be a newer model.

Authorities are now examining connections between the break-in and the earlier hit-and-run. The stolen license plate provides a key lead in tracking the suspects. The gas station remains closed for repairs while the investigation continues.
