Thieves raid Dutenhofen kiosk, stealing cigarettes and tobacco in early-morning heist

A kiosk in Dutenhofen was broken into early on Thursday morning. Two thieves struck at around 2:50 a.m. on January 29, 2026, stealing cigarettes and tobacco from the shop on Wetzlarer Straße.

The suspects worked together during the break-in. One entered the kiosk while the other remained outside, keeping watch. Both wore dark clothing to avoid detection.

After taking multiple packs of cigarettes and tobacco, the pair fled the scene. Witnesses reported seeing them run toward Bergstraße shortly after the theft.

Police have yet to identify the two individuals involved. Authorities are now asking anyone with information to come forward and assist the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation by local officers. Anyone with details about the break-in or the suspects' whereabouts is urged to contact Wetzlar police. The stolen items included several packs of cigarettes and tobacco.
