A 34-year-old thief broke into an arcade in Hesse early on Sunday morning. He stole the day’s takings from the cash register but was later arrested after a bizarre attempt to hide in the ceiling. The incident began at around 4:00 AM, shortly after the arcade in Schöneck closed. The man entered through the ceiling and took several hundred euros from the till. Unable to leave through a locked door, he climbed into the ceiling space to avoid detection. The thief now faces charges related to burglary and theft. Police continue to gather evidence and are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The arcade has since reviewed its security measures following the unusual break-in.
