Tencent Cloud and iyzico team up to accelerate fintech expansion in Europe

Tencent Cloud has partnered with Turkish fintech firm iyzico to support its expansion into Europe. The collaboration was announced at Mobile World Congress 2026. Together, they have built a cloud-based platform designed to help iyzico scale its payment services across the region.

The new system will serve over 185,000 merchants, including large e-commerce brands and small businesses. It also ensures compliance with strict financial regulations while enabling faster deployment of services.

The partnership focused on creating a secure and scalable infrastructure for iyzico's operations. Tencent Cloud developed the platform using its IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) to meet financial regulatory standards. The system was built across Tencent Cloud's Frankfurt availability zones, featuring a dual-zone setup for high reliability.

Automated deployment and operational handover were key parts of the project. This approach allows iyzico to roll out services quickly while maintaining compliance. The platform also includes rapid database failover and elastic resource scaling to handle growing transaction volumes.

Şamil Nevruz, CTO of iyzico, highlighted the benefits of the collaboration. He explained that the partnership strengthens the company's ability to meet regulatory demands, scale efficiently, and provide dependable payment solutions. Fred Sun, General Manager of Europe at Tencent Cloud International, added that the platform empowers fintech innovators to expand confidently and deliver smooth payment experiences.

iyzico's services cover virtual, in-store, and supplier network payments for e-commerce, retail, and B2B sectors. The new cloud-based platform marks the company's first production system in Europe, setting the stage for further growth in the region.

The collaboration between Tencent Cloud and iyzico provides a foundation for the fintech firm's European expansion. The platform's dual-zone architecture and automated systems ensure both speed and compliance. With this setup, iyzico aims to support its growing merchant base while maintaining high service reliability.
