Ten-Ton Humanitarian Aid Convoy Heads to Western Ukraine

A truck carrying ten tons of humanitarian supplies has departed for Truskavets in western Ukraine. The shipment was organised by the Ukraine Aid Alliance, a group of local charities and local volunteers. Inside the vehicle, essential goods like medical equipment, clothing, and emergency power equipment are packed for delivery.

The initiative began in Kassel, where the Malteser (Maltese Order) teamed up with the Diocese of Fulda, the Ritterorden von Malta, and Caritas. Together, they arranged the collection and transport of the aid. Local volunteers from Fulda, Petersberg, and Eschwege helped load the truck, with Alfred Hau of the Order of Malta overseeing the effort.

The aid convoy is now en route to western Ukraine, carrying vital resources for communities in Truskavets. The collaboration between charities, businesses, and local volunteers ensured the shipment was fully prepared and funded. The arrival of these supplies will support local volunteering efforts in the coming weeks.
