Ten global startups vie for €25,000 at Frankfurt’s green chemistry showdown
The ISC3 Innovation Challenge 2025 will reach its climax on November in the main event at the ISC3 Investor Forum in Frankfurt. Ten finalists from around the world will compete for €25,000 in prize money, including a €15,000 grand prize. The event highlights cutting-edge solutions in sustainable chemistry and climate action.
The two-day forum, held at Messe Frankfurt, brings together startups, investors, and policymakers to drive collaboration in green innovation. Attendees will see pitches from international finalists, take part in an investor discussion, and vote for their favourite startup.
The ten finalists include startups from Japan, Luxembourg, Azerbaijan, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Germany, and Ghana. Among them are AC Biode, CLIMASEL, ETB Global B.V., Palki Motors Limited, Power2Polymers, Spark e-Fuels GmbH, and Theseus Development. Their projects range from chemical recycling of hard-to-recycle plastics to bio-based building materials and renewable fuels.
On November 26, the startups will present their innovations to a panel of judges and investors. The audience can also participate by voting for their preferred startup via an online survey during the pitches. The following day, winners will be announced at the awards ceremony, with the top prize set at €15,000 and two Special Impact Awards of €5,000 each.
The forum’s programme includes a masterclass on spotting sustainability in chemical innovations. Discussions will focus on scaling green technologies and securing investment for climate-positive solutions. The event aims to turn promising ideas into real-world impact through funding and partnerships.
The ISC3 Investor Forum 2025 will close with the awards ceremony on November 27. The winning startups will receive funding to advance their sustainable chemistry projects. The event also provides a platform for networking, investment deals, and future collaborations in green innovation.
