Candies stolen in trash bags: Police arrest juveniles - Teenagers caught in €500 snack heist at German convenience store

Three teenagers have been accused of stealing snacks and sweets from a 24-hour convenience store in Gelnhausen. Police arrested two of the suspects, but a third remains on the run. The stolen items, including chips, nuts, and confectionery, were valued at around €500.

The incident took place at a petrol station shop in Gelnhausen. Staff noticed the missing goods and alerted the authorities. Officers later spotted the trio leaving the store with garbage bags filled with stolen items.

Two suspects, aged 16 and 18, were detained at the scene. A third teenager, aged 17, managed to escape and is still being sought by police. The investigation suggests the goods were taken for personal use, as there was no sign of forced entry.

Both detained individuals now face charges of suspected shoplifting. Authorities have not released their names or further details about their identities. The search for the third suspect continues as part of the ongoing investigation.

The stolen items were recovered after the arrests. Police are still working to locate the missing 17-year-old. The case remains under investigation, with potential legal consequences for those involved.
