Teen thieves crash after wild police chase over stolen phones in Germany
Three young men, aged between 17 and 21, were arrested following a high-speed car chase and theft in the Rheingau-Taunus district. The incident began with a mobile phone theft in Idstein and ended with a crash in Raunheim, leading to the suspects' apprehension.
The trio initially stole mobile phones from a store in Idstein. In an attempt to evade capture, they led police on a chase along the A3 and A67 motorways. The pursuit ended dramatically when their vehicle crashed in Raunheim. The suspects were then taken to the station in Taunusstein and released after processing.
Both the stolen mobile phones and the wrecked vehicle were seized by police. Despite efforts to contact the Chief Police Inspector at the Rheingau-Taunus Police Directorate for more details, no information was available regarding the officer's identity.
The police chase and subsequent arrest of the three young men serve as a reminder of the dangers of evading law enforcement and the serious consequences of theft. The stolen mobile phones and the vehicle involved have been recovered.
