Teen robber shoves customer before surrendering to Wiesbaden police

A 19-year-old man robbed a supermarket cash register in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt on Wednesday evening. The incident took place at around 6:25 p.m. at a grocery store on Limesstraße, where the suspect grabbed cash before attempting to flee with the money. The thief targeted an open register and snatched the money. As he tried to escape, a 47-year-old female customer stepped in to block his path. He responded by shoving her in the chest, causing injury, before running off.

Hours later, the suspect turned himself in to police. Authorities have now launched an investigation into robbery and assault charges against him. No further details have been released by Wiesbaden-Bierstadt police regarding ongoing inquiries.

The 19-year-old remains under investigation for both theft and assault. His surrender followed a brief escape after the confrontation with the customer. Police have not provided additional updates at this time.
