TD Bank backs Canada’s cricket teams ahead of historic 2024 World Cup debut

Cricket Canada, the governing body for the sport, has partnered with TD Bank Group (TD) to boost cricket's growth and accessibility across Canada. The 2024 ICC T20 World Cup will mark a historic moment for Canada's men's team, while TD becomes the official sponsor of the women's team in 2025.

TD's sponsorship will support Cricket Canada's grassroots development programs and enhance accessibility, appealing to both new and long-time cricket enthusiasts. TD will be prominently featured on the national teams' kits, including custom designs for the men's team's 2024 World Cup debut.

Cricket's popularity in Canada is largely driven by immigration, with the South Asian community being a significant fan base. Over a quarter of survey respondents identified as superfans of the sport. TD's support will help Cricket Canada engage these communities and foster growth.

With TD's backing, Cricket Canada aims to strengthen its grassroots programs and make cricket more accessible. The 2024 ICC T20 World Cup appearance and TD's sponsorship of the women's team in 2025 promise exciting times ahead for Canadian cricket.
