Taunusring street closed for weeks after urgent water outage
A section of Taunusring street has been shut to all traffic since Tuesday, July 29. The closure comes after a water outage disrupted normal services in the area. Drivers, cyclists and residents will need to plan alternative routes for nearly three weeks. The closure began at house number 24 and applies to both cars and bicycles. Authorities confirmed the disruption stems from an urgent water supply issue. While vehicles must avoid the area, pedestrians can still use their usual paths without restriction.
Repairs are expected to take time, with the full roadblock remaining in place until around Tuesday, August 19. No further details on the cause of the water outage have been released so far.
The shutdown will last until mid-August, forcing motorists and cyclists to find other ways around. Pedestrian access remains unaffected throughout the works. Officials have not yet announced when normal traffic flow will resume.
