Suspicious Fire Destroys Camper at Kornsand, Damages 20k Euros of Property
A camping trailer with an awning was destroyed by fire at Kornsand campsite on Friday evening around 11:30 PM. The blaze also affected two nearby camping trailers, a utility tent, and a garden fence. President Reiner Hammann, head of the Hessian State Police Headquarters, confirmed that arson cannot be ruled out as the cause.
The fire caused an estimated 20,000 euros worth of damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire. The affected camping trailers and other structures were located near the main campsite area, suggesting a busy time on the site.
