Stray firework injures child on New Year’s Eve in Bad Schwalbach
A child was injured by a stray firework on New Year’s Eve in Bad Schwalbach. The incident happened just after midnight in a parking lot on Aarstraße. Police are now searching for witnesses to help identify the teenagers responsible.
The accident took place at around 12:20 AM on 1 January. A group of teenagers had been setting off fireworks across the street when one rocket veered off course. It struck a young girl who was standing with her mother, watching the celebrations.
The child received hospital treatment as an outpatient but did not require an overnight stay. Authorities have launched an investigation into negligent bodily harm.
