Speiergarten Straße to Close for Six Weeks Starting February 9
Speiergarten Straße in Bierstadt will shut down for over a month starting next week. The closure begins on Monday, February 9, and lasts until Friday, March 20. Drivers and cyclists will need to find alternative routes during this time.
The full roadblock runs between house numbers 20 and 27. Stadtwerke Wiesbaden, the city's municipal utilities company, is carrying out the work. Their crews will replace old water and sewage lines along this section.
The project began in early 2026 as part of a wider upgrade to local supply lines. While vehicles face a complete ban, pedestrians can still use their usual paths. No detours have been announced for walkers.
The closure affects both cars and bikes until mid-March. Utility workers aim to finish the renewal of underground lines by the deadline. After completion, the road will reopen to all traffic as normal.
