Southeast Hesse Police Launch Major Recruitment Drive for Auxiliary Officers
The Southeast Hesse Police Headquarters is bolstering its auxiliary police force with a new recruitment drive. The initiative aims to strengthen domestic security by adding more personnel to tasks such as facility protection, custody services, and traffic monitoring.
The auxiliary police officers play a crucial role in supporting the main force. They assist in various tasks, including supporting youth traffic schools and transporting individuals. The headquarters is now inviting applications from interested candidates.
Successful applicants will undergo an 18-week training program, with multiple performance evaluations to ensure they meet the required standards. The training covers a range of skills needed for the role. While specific details about the training measures conducted by the commissioned police in South East Hesse are not available, the program is designed to equip recruits with the necessary skills.

They must also hold a Class B driver’s license, be no older than 39, have proficient German language skills, be physically and mentally fit for duty, and hold German or EU citizenship. Third-country nationals must have a permanent residence permit and have lived in Germany for at least five years.
