Sochi's Road Authority Collapses Under 24.9 Million Ruble Debt

The Dagomys Road Repair and Construction Authority (DRSU) has been declared bankrupt by the Arbitration Court of Sochi. The ruling follows years of unpaid debts, including a 24.9 million ruble obligation to a contractor for roadwork completed in 2020. The financial troubles began after DRSU failed to pay Marker, a company that carried out road marking under a 2020 contract. Despite a 2021 court order to settle the debt, the authority never transferred the funds.

The case was later referred to arbitration, leading to bankruptcy proceedings. Oleg Zagursky has now been appointed as the insolvency administrator. His role includes evaluating DRSU’s financial state and managing repayments to creditors.

The bankruptcy decision marks the end of DRSU’s operations under its current structure. Creditors, including Marker, will now await the outcome of Zagursky’s financial assessment. The process will determine how remaining assets are distributed.
