Six young firefighters ace Youth Flame Level 2 exam in Mainflingen
Six young firefighters from Mainflingen Youth Fire Brigade successfully completed the Youth Flame Level 2 exam on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The event was attended by local dignitaries and fire service representatives, marking a significant milestone in the young firefighters' training.
The day began with an opening ceremony led by District Administrator Oliver Quilling and Member of Parliament Patricia Lips. The exam itself was a comprehensive test of the candidates' skills, including fire service techniques, safe knot-tying, and a playful, athletic challenge. District Youth Fire Chief Oliver Meyer moderated the exam, assisted by Carsten Gerhold and Yvonne Rückert. All six candidates passed with flying colours, much to the delight of the local fire department officials, community leaders, and family members who came to support them.
The Mainflingen Youth Fire Brigade congratulated the graduates and expressed their excitement for the future contributions these young firefighters will make to their community.
Mayor Frank Simon personally thanked the graduates for their dedication and hard work. The district youth fire leadership presented the successful candidates with their certificates, marking the culmination of their Youth Flame Level 2 training. The Mainflingen Youth Fire Brigade looks forward to the continued growth and service of these young firefighters.
