Serious Car Crash on B42: 12-Year-Old Critically Injured

A serious car accident on the B42 between Büttelborn and Weiterstadt on Sunday, October 26, 2025, resulted in significant property damage and injuries. The crash involved a 70-year-old female driver heading towards Weiterstadt who veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another car.

The incident occurred at around 12:35 a.m. and closed the highway for approximately two hours during the investigation. All five occupants of the two vehicles sustained injuries and were able to exit their cars. The female driver's vehicle rolled over due to the impact.

A 12-year-old passenger suffered severe facial injuries and was rushed to the hospital for immediate treatment. The other occupants received medical care at the scene before being transported to nearby hospitals. The crash resulted in an estimated €40,000 in property damage.

The accident is currently under investigation, and no public police or press report has mentioned the identity of the female driver or the severely injured 12-year-old passenger. The B42 was closed for two hours to ensure safety and conduct a thorough investigation.
