Senior Police Commissioner Jakob Polom Expands Community Outreach to Three More Towns

Senior Police Commissioner Jakob Polom has expanded his role in Landkreis Gießen. Since early February 2026, he now serves as a direct contact for three more towns: Laubach, Reiskirchen, and Rabenau, in addition to his existing duties as a community officer in the region since last year.

Polom was already serving as a local contact for residents in Lich, Hungen, and Allendorf (Lumda). His new responsibilities extend his reach to additional municipalities within the district. The change reflects an effort to strengthen police engagement with communities.

To maintain direct communication, he holds regular in-person office hours. This ensures residents can easily meet with him for concerns or support. The move follows local administrative adjustments, though specific details remain limited.

The expansion of Polom's role means more towns now have a dedicated police contact. His office hours provide a direct link between law enforcement and the public. The change took effect in early February 2026.
