Secure Trust Bank appoints Jim Appleby as new COO amid leadership shift
Secure Trust Bank (STB) has named Jim Appleby as its new Chief Operating Officer, pending regulatory approval. He will take up the role on Monday, 17 November, replacing Katie Docherty. The appointment brings over two decades of senior leadership experience to the financial services firm.
Appleby’s career spans multiple high-profile roles in finance. He most recently led PNC Bank UK as CEO, where he oversaw the integration of Arrow Global UK. During his time there, the company improved operational efficiency, boosted customer outcomes, and saw strong revenue growth.
Appleby’s arrival marks a new phase for STB, with his experience in scaling businesses and improving operations expected to strengthen the bank’s position. His regulatory approval remains the final step before he officially begins his role next month.
