Sebastian Kiefer Joins Auktion & Markt AG’s Executive Board in 2026
Auktion & Markt AG has appointed Sebastian Kiefer to its executive board, effective 1 January 2026. The 39-year-old business economist joins CEO Peter Lindner and board member Mark Lehmann in leading the Wiesbaden-based company. His promotion follows years of service in key managerial roles within the firm.
Kiefer has spent much of his career at Auktion & Markt AG, most recently as head of Backoffice and Controlling. His strong track record in these areas led to his appointment on the executive team. In his new position, he will oversee the company’s finance division.
Auktion & Markt AG, founded over 35 years ago, specialises in used vehicle auctions across Europe. The mid-sized firm employs around 450 people nationwide and works with a wide range of consignors. These include automakers, dealerships, banks, leasing companies, rental firms, and fleet operators. The company auctions a broad selection of vehicles, from passenger cars and commercial vans to motorcycles and motorhomes. It also handles accident-damaged vehicles, catering to both trade buyers and private customers.
Kiefer’s appointment strengthens the leadership of one of Europe’s leading used vehicle auction houses. His financial expertise will support the company’s continued growth in a competitive market. The executive branch now consists of three members, each bringing specialised experience to the role.
