Günther travels with delegation to Finland - Schleswig-Holstein strengthens Baltic ties with Finland and Estonia visit

A 40-strong delegation from Schleswig-Holstein is travelling to Finland and Estonia this week. Led by Minister-President Daniel Günther, the group includes ministers, lawmakers, and business leaders. The trip aims to boost economic, security, and political cooperation in the Baltic Sea region.

The visit comes as regional ties grow more important after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In Finland, the delegation will meet with tech and cybersecurity firms, along with high-ranking officials. Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen is among those scheduled for talks.

The trip highlights growing collaboration between Schleswig-Holstein, Finland, and Estonia. Meetings with officials and companies will explore new opportunities in technology, energy, and defence. No details have been released about which Estonian officials will attend the Tallinn discussions on 28 November.
