Sberbank of Russia to provide another loan of 150 million rubles to the republican budget of Mary El
The Republic of Mari El has secured a new loan worth 150 million rubles from Sberbankās local branch. The deal follows an earlier failed attempt to find a lender in November 2025, when no bank was selected for the required funding.
On 24 November, two government contracts were signed to formalise the loan. One agreement covers 514 days, while the other spans 528 days. Both will provide the republic with the full 150 million rubles it needs.
The funds are intended to tackle urgent economic and social issues within Mari El. Officials have stated that the loan will improve the regionās ability to address key challenges more effectively.
With the loan now in place, Mari Elās government can move forward with its planned projects. The 150 million rubles will be used to support initiatives aimed at stabilising and developing the republicās economy and public services.
