Economy Minister Wants to Expand Contacts with India - Saxony’s Minister Panther strengthens India ties with trade and talent mission

Saxony's Economics Minister Dirk Panther is set to visit India from November 9 to 14, aiming to strengthen business ties and recruit skilled workers. The delegation will travel to Tamil Nadu, with planned stops in Coimbatore and Chennai.

Minister Dirk Panther, leading a group of around 20 delegates, will engage in meetings and company visits during the trip. While specific companies have not been disclosed, the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and the special economic zone Sri City are confirmed destinations. India is seen as a crucial growth market for Saxon businesses, with exports reaching €306.5 million last year. The visit also aims to attract skilled workers from the region to Saxony.

Minister Dirk Panther's visit to India seeks to foster stronger economic connections and talent acquisition. Despite unconfirmed company visits, the trip signals Saxony's commitment to expanding its presence in the key growth market of India.
