Economy Minister Wants to Expand Contacts with India - Saxony’s Business Delegation Heads to India for Trade and Talent
Saxony's Minister of Economics, Dirk Panter, is leading a delegation of around 20 business representatives to India from November 9 to 14, 2025. The visit aims to strengthen economic ties and recruit skilled workers for the German state.
The delegation, headed by Minister Panter, will travel to the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. They have scheduled meetings and company visits in Coimbatore and Chennai. Last year, Saxon businesses exported goods worth €306.5 million to India, highlighting the region's importance as a growth market. India's skilled workforce is also a key attraction for Saxon companies looking to expand their operations.
During the visit, Minister Panter and the delegation aim to expand Saxony's connections with India. They hope to foster new partnerships and recruit talented workers to support the state's growing businesses. The trip is part of Saxony's ongoing efforts to strengthen its international economic ties.
