Over 90 million euros for urban development promotion - Saxony-Anhalt's Urban Development Gets €124M Boost
Saxony-Anhalt's urban development receives a boost with €124 million in funding. This includes municipal contributions and will support projects in eight cities, ensuring financial security for next year's initiatives.
The primary authorities managing this funding are municipal governments and their urban development departments, working alongside the Ministry for Infrastructure and Digital Affairs. They collaborate with regional planning offices and local economic development agencies to provide access to funds.
The €124 million will be allocated across projects in Annaburg, Havelberg, Kalbe, Könnern, Magdeburg, Merseburg, Naumburg, and potentially other cities. This investment is expected to attract further private capital, with each public euro drawing additional private funds.
An additional program focuses on strengthening economically weak, structurally disadvantaged, and socially deprived urban districts. The funding will also help communities tackle demographic challenges, revitalizing cities and towns to make them more attractive.
Over €90 million has been allocated for urban development funding in Saxony-Anhalt. This investment, along with municipal contributions, will support projects in multiple cities, fostering economic growth and community revitalization.
