Salzgitter Residents Shape City's Future with ISEK 2025 Update
Salzgitter is revamping its Integrated Urban Development Concept (ISEK 2025) to accommodate future growth. Over 2,200 residents shared their ideas during an online participation phase from June to August 2025, submitting 443 ideas with over 5,200 evaluations.
The update focuses on key priorities such as urban renewal, transforming industrial sites, child- and family-friendly initiatives, and expanding green spaces. To gather more input, four neighborhood workshops will be held in Lebenstedt (Nov 4), Thiede (Nov 5), Gebhardshagen (Nov 11), and Salzgitter-Bad (Nov 12). The planning group 'PLANUNGSGRUPPE STADTBÜRO', along with experts and the administration, will lead these workshops to discuss future urban developments with residents. This phase aims to collect more ideas for key urban development areas.
Salzgitter is actively involving its residents in shaping the city's future with the ISEK 2025 update. The upcoming workshops provide an opportunity for residents to contribute their ideas and help steer the city's growth.
