Russians split on luck: 40% feel blessed, but most credit hard work

A recent survey by KP.RU has revealed an intriguing mix of beliefs among Russians regarding luck. While 40% consider themselves fortunate, a significant portion attribute their successes to hard work rather than chance.

The poll, involving 3,200 participants across social networks and messaging platforms, delved into the public's perception of luck. Notably, 57% of respondents claimed that luck had never favoured them. Conversely, only 7% felt that luck followed them in all their endeavours.

An interesting finding was that 33% of those polled believed they weren't lucky all the time, but luck seemed to shine on them when it mattered most. This suggests a nuanced view of fortune among Russians. Many respondents stressed that their achievements were solely the result of their efforts.

The KP.RU poll paints a complex picture of Russians' attitudes towards luck. While a majority feel luck has not been on their side, a substantial minority believe in its influence at crucial moments. Despite this, many respondents emphasise the importance of hard work in their successes.
