Russia Offers 50% Discounts to Boost Indigenous Communities’ Traditional Crafts

Russia has launched a new initiative to support its indigenous people. From January 1st, representatives of these communities can apply for a 50% discount on state duty fees for practicing traditional lifestyles and crafts in their settlements. However, the names of the eligible indigenous people have not been officially announced yet.

To claim this discount, applicants must submit documents proving their indigenous status and engagement in traditional activities on the Gosuslugi portal. The discount also extends to participants and veterans of special military operations, as well as citizens who support these operations.

The fees for licenses and their management have been set at 5,000 rubles for a new license, 1,000 rubles for renewal or replacement, and 500 rubles for re-registration.

This discount aims to encourage and support the preservation of traditional lifestyles and crafts among Russia's indigenous people. The exact eligible communities and the application process will be clarified in the near future.
