Rüsselsheim Honours Volunteer Firefighters for Decades of Service

A ceremony in Rüsselsheim am Main honoured local volunteer firefighters for their years of dedication. On June 20, 2025, awards were presented to mark decades of service, with some members recognised for up to half a century of commitment.

The main event celebrated firefighters who had served for 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 years. Five individuals received the Fire Service Long Service Medal with Ribbon, though their names were not made public. A further 25 volunteers were given a service bonus for their ongoing work.

The ceremony highlighted the long-term contributions of Rüsselsheim’s volunteer firefighters. Awards ranged from service bonuses to high honours for five decades of work. The event closed with recognition of both individual achievements and collective commitment.
