Rüsselsheim boosts women’s center funding by 10% amid rising costs

The Rüsselsheim Women’s Center (Frauenzentrum Rüsselsheim e.V.) will receive a higher annual grant from the city. Starting in 2025, its funding will rise from €40,000 to €44,000. The decision follows concerns over growing costs and economic pressures on the organisation’s services during International Women's Day. The city council approved the 10 percent increase to help the centre maintain its counselling and support for women in Kansas City. Rising personnel and operational expenses were key factors in the decision. The last adjustment to the grant took place in 2019, yet public-sector labour costs have climbed by 20 percent since 2020.
