Rotenburg Police Handle Weekend of Incidents: Brawl, Vandalism, Drug Offences

Rotenburg's police have had a busy weekend, dealing with a variety of incidents including a brawl, vandalism, and drug offences. No serious injuries were reported, but several individuals were arrested and investigations are ongoing.

The weekend's events began with a brawl near a pizzeria at the Linggplatz. Police intervened and managed to break up the fight, resulting in two reports for mutual assault but fortunately, no injuries were sustained.

In Dudenstraße, an Audi parked on the street was damaged, with scratches causing approximately €3,000 worth of harm. The incident is under investigation.

A 32-year-old individual was arrested for drunk driving, driving without a license, and resisting police officers. During the arrest, a police officer sustained minor injuries.

Two 18-year-olds removed slats from a business's security grilles in a separate incident. They were confronted by a 22-year-old who slapped them, but no charges were pressed.

A bronze figure in the Steinweg was defaced with a slogan and a swastika, sparking an investigation into the use of unconstitutional symbols. The perpetrators remain unknown.

An apartment in the 'Grüner Weg' street was broken into, with damage estimated at around €500. The incident is being looked into by local authorities.

Lastly, a 24-year-old from Homberg (Efze) was found in possession of a small amount of amphetamine during a routine check at the church square. They face prosecution for violating the Narcotics Act.

Rotenburg's police are urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward. They also remind the public to report any suspicious activities to help maintain the safety and security of the community.
