Rodgau Sees Rise in Juvenile Offenses Despite Overall Crime Drop
In Rodgau, 2024 witnessed an increase in juvenile offenders under 18, despite an overall decrease in criminal activity. While crimes against sexual self-determination, violent offenses, and miscellaneous offenses rose, serious theft and property, and forgery offenses remained the most prevalent.
Despite a 7.4% drop in crime across the Offenbach district, Rodgau recorded 120 fewer crimes in 2024 compared to 2023. This trend aligns with the broader decline, with Rodgau's crime frequency rate (HZ) of 3,616 offenses per 100,000 residents placing it among the safest municipalities in Hesse.
Police documented a total of 1,688 offenses committed by 791 suspects in Rodgau in 2024. The clearance rate for these crimes stood at 53.1%. Police advise residents to protect their privacy, avoid sharing bank details, and hang up on suspicious calls.
