The Rheingau-Taunus district has seen a series of incidents this week. Traffic checks uncovered vehicle defects and led to two arrests. Meanwhile, a motorcycle was stolen and a car damaged in hit-and-run incidents.

On Thursday, 16.10.2025, traffic checks in the district found defects, particularly in lighting equipment, in 13 vehicles. Two individuals were apprehended - a man with an outstanding arrest warrant and another person driving without a license.

In Taunusstein-Hahn, a black Yamaha XJ 600 N motorcycle was stolen on the same day between 08:00 AM and 12:00 PM. The motorcycle, valued at approximately 1,500 euros, had the license plate 'WI-EX 5'.

On Wednesday, 15.10.2025, a purple Citroen C3 was damaged in a hit-and-run incident on the parking lot of Taunusstein's swimming pool. The incident occurred between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM, resulting in approximately 2,500 euros in damages. The driver of the car fled the scene without identifying themselves. Police have no clues about the perpetrator so far.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the stolen motorcycle or the hit-and-run incident to come forward. The district police are investigating these incidents and remind drivers to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy and to report any accidents.
