Police investigate suspicious van approach to 11-year-old in Wiesbaden-Schierstein

On Tuesday (30th September), an 11-year-old boy in Wiesbaden-Schierstein was approached by the driver of a van. The van had previously stopped next to the boy in the area of Hermann-Löns-Straße. The incident occurred in the afternoon, and no conversation took place. The boy reacted appropriately, running away and informing his parents. Wiesbaden's Criminal Police have initiated an investigation and are currently reviewing all information.

Police Appeal for Reports

The police urge that in such cases, one should always immediately notify a local station. Parents should listen attentively to their child's account and have them recount it in their own words. The police state that they take such statements from children very seriously. They also strongly warn against sharing unchecked and unfiltered information, especially on social media platforms.
