Police Hunt Suspects After String of Vehicle Damage, Thefts, and Hit-and-Run
Police in the region are investigating a series of incidents involving vehicles and property. In Butzbach, an unknown man caused damage to a Hyundai and an Audi A3, taking an exterior mirror. Burglars attempted to enter a property but left empty-handed. Meanwhile, a man was seen tampering with car doors in Friedberg and a motorcyclist hit a cyclist before fleeing in Ober-Rosbach.
The man responsible for the vehicle damage in Butzbach is described as tall and muscular, with short dark hair, and dressed entirely in orange. He caused significant damage to both vehicles and took an exterior mirror from the Hyundai A3. In Friedberg, a man was seen pulling on car doors, including a Tesla, before being temporarily arrested by police. Among the vehicles targeted was a Tesla.
In Ober-Rosbach, a cyclist was struck by a motorcyclist who fled the scene. Witnesses reported reckless driving prior to the incident. Thieves also struck in Bad Nauheim, making off with over 100 meters of construction cables from a site at Sprudelhof between Friday evening and Tuesday morning. In Ockstadt, unknown persons stole a cash box containing cash from an office room over the same period.
Police are urging anyone with information about these incidents to come forward. The man responsible for the vehicle damage in Butzbach remains at large, as do the burglars and thieves involved in the other incidents. The investigation is ongoing.
