Police Donate €1,800 to Support Families of Sick Children in East Hesse

The East Hesse Police Headquarters has donated €1,800 to Little Heroes East Hesse (Kleine Helden Osthessen e.V.). The funds were raised during an Advent service and a Christmas market organised by the police. The charity provides direct support to children and families dealing with severe illness or loss.

The donation was officially handed over to the long-standing charity, which has operated for over 15 years. Founded in 2008, Little Heroes East Hesse has helped more than 5,000 children and families across Germany. Their work focuses on those facing life-threatening conditions or coping with bereavement.

Police President Michael Tegethoff acknowledged the association's impact during the handover. He also commended the officers and volunteers who made the fundraising events possible. The money will go straight to families in need, ensuring practical and emotional assistance where it is most required.

The Advent service and Christmas market brought together officers, local residents, and supporters. Both events aimed to spread festive cheer while raising vital funds for a cause close to the community's heart.

The €1,800 contribution will directly aid children and families supported by Little Heroes East Hesse. The charity continues its mission of providing relief during difficult times. The police force's efforts highlight ongoing collaboration between local authorities and charitable organisations.
