POL-OH: Accident with Injuries

A serious collision took place near Petersberg on Wednesday evening. A 32-year-old BMW driver from Hünfeld crashed into a Ford while attempting a left turn toward the city centre. The accident left multiple people injured and caused significant damage to both vehicles.

The crash happened as the BMW driver was exiting the A7 motorway onto the B458. Inside the car were two passengers—a 34-year-old woman and a four-year-old child. The BMW collided with a Ford driven by a 59-year-old woman from Dipperz.

The BMW’s occupants suffered minor injuries, while the Ford driver sustained serious harm. All injured parties were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. A dog travelling in the BMW remained unharmed and was later handed over to family members by emergency responders. The road was temporarily closed in both directions to allow rescue and recovery operations. Authorities estimate the total property damage from the collision at around €56,000.

The accident resulted in injuries and a temporary road closure. The BMW driver, passengers, and the Ford driver were all treated in hospital. Investigations into the cause of the crash are expected to continue.
