A resident in Hanau has discovered screws scattered across Kantstraße, raising concerns about possible deliberate sabotage. Police are now investigating whether the screws were dropped by accident or placed there on purpose.
The incident came to light on Sunday when a local noticed screws lying in the middle of the road. Officers were called to the scene and removed them, though it remains unclear how long they had been there. Investigators suspect several vehicles had already driven over the screws, but no damage to tyres or cars has been reported so far.
This is not the first time screws have appeared on the same stretch of road. A similar incident occurred in August, prompting police to look into whether the two cases are connected. Authorities are now examining the possibility of intentional scattering, though no motives or suspects have been identified.
