A series of incidents occurred across the Limburg and Rheingau-Taunus regions this week. On Tuesday, a man was seriously injured in Hadamar, while scammers targeted an elderly resident in Niederhadamar. Police also reported break-ins, speeding offences, and property damage in nearby areas.
A 61-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after falling from a ladder in Hadamar on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The accident happened at 11:40 AM while he was cleaning his roof.
That same day, two men impersonating police officers stole a four-figure sum from a 93-year-old resident in Niederhadamar. The incident took place at 5:00 PM, with one suspect described as around 1.70 metres tall, wearing a dark knee-length coat and hat. Early the next morning, at 12:50 AM on Wednesday, December 17, two men were caught searching a parked car in Limburg-Eschhofen. They took a high-end pair of sunglasses and their case before fleeing. Witnesses described one as 1.70 metres tall in dark clothing, the other as 1.80 metres tall, also in dark clothing, wearing a baseball cap and carrying a backpack. Between 7:15 AM and 8:50 AM that same Wednesday, police stopped a speeding driver near the forest kindergarten in Bad Camberg. The motorist was recorded at 108 km/h in a 60 km/h zone and now faces a driving ban. Earlier in the week, between 4:00 PM on Monday, December 15, and 2:30 PM on Tuesday, December 16, unknown individuals damaged multiple items in a garden in Lindenholzhausen. The vandalism caused several hundred euros in property damage.
Authorities are investigating the incidents, including the impersonation scam and car break-in. The injured man in Hadamar remains under medical care. Meanwhile, the speeding driver in Bad Camberg will face legal consequences for exceeding the limit by nearly double.
