Pickpocket Caught After 'Bump and Grab' Fail Near Frankfurt Station

A 24-year-old thief used the 'bump and grab' trick to steal a wallet from a 36-year-old man near Frankfurt's main train station on Monday afternoon, October 21, 2024. The victim and bystanders managed to apprehend the pickpocket until police arrived.

The incident occurred around 12:45 PM. The thief targeted the victim's back pocket, swiftly snatching the wallet. However, the victim quickly realised the theft and, with the help of nearby witnesses, cornered the pickpocket. The stolen wallet was successfully recovered and returned to its owner. Despite the initial success of the 'bump and grab' trick, the pickpocket was unable to escape.

The 24-year-old suspect was arrested by police following the failed theft. The victim's wallet was recovered and returned, thanks to the quick thinking and assistance of passersby.
