People with Migration Background Visit Roth Firm - Open VOICE Project Shows Diverse Professions and Training Opportunities

A group of over 40 people with refugee and migration backgrounds recently toured Roth Industries in Dautphetal-Buchenau. The visit was part of the Open VOICE project, which helps newcomers explore career opportunities. Many attendees brought CVs and questions about jobs and training at the company.

Roth Industries, a family-run business specialising in building and industrial technology, produces over 40 million metres of surface heating pipes each year. The company also offers more than 20 apprenticeships annually across eight different trades.

During the tour, participants learned about the range of career paths available. Most apprenticeships require at least a B2 level of German, though the company supports trainees with language courses and tandem programmes. The event was organised by Lydia Koblofsky from the Marburg-Biedenkopf District Integration Office.

Open VOICE, the initiative behind the workplace visits, works with partners like the district’s Job Center, Employer Personnel Services, and the refugee advisory network BLEIB!dabei!. Those interested in future events can contact Open Voice e.V. via email at [email protected] or through their website.

The visit aimed to help participants find internships, apprenticeships, or permanent jobs. Roth Industries and its partners continue to support career integration for people with migration backgrounds. Further tours and opportunities are expected as part of the ongoing project.
